City brings customer services to Khayelitsha and Claremont

25 May 2023

Next week the City’s Mobile Office will be deployed to Khayelitsha and Claremont to assist with a wide range of municipal enquiries and service requests. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

The details are as follows:

  • Tuesday, 30 May 2023, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Resource Centre, Makabeni Road, Khayelitsha (Opposite the Lingelethu Police Station)
  • Thursday, 1 June 2023, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the Claremont Civic Centre, 231 Main Road, Claremont

The City's Customer Relations Department's mobile team will assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically. Customers can engage with the City in a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries.

To date, the mobile office team has been very effective in resolving long outstanding queries for residents.

'The mobile office is one of the service delivery models that shows that we are determined to live up to our key priority: excellence in basic service delivery. In bringing these services directly to your doorstep, we ensure that residents save time and transport money. I am calling on residents to take full advantage of these visits to get the answers that they need about their general municipal matters,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
